Álafosslopi is a coarse and natural classic used especially in Icelandic knitwear, a wonderfully thick Icelandic wool yarn. Due to the characteristics of Icelandic wool, this yarn is particularly suitable for knitting warm winter accessories. A sweater knitted from Álafosslop is a traditional outerwear in the yarn's homeland, Iceland. In addition to the beautiful appearance, the Icelandic sweater is really warm, but light and breathable. You will painstakingly knit the unique sweater of your dreams from this thick yarn, which will please you year after year not only because of its features, but also because of its beautiful appearance.

Care instructions:
In most cases, ventilation is sufficient for woolen clothing. If necessary, hand wash in lukewarm water (30°C). Soak the sweater for approx. 10 min and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Gently squeeze most of the water out of the garment. Gently shape the sweater to its dimensions and dry flat, do not hang.

Alafosslopi is easy to knit. Works especially well as an outdoor sweater. I knitted the Kauni model with a slight modification. A good size so that a windproof one can fit underneath.
