Plötulopi is the original member of the Icelandic yarn family: an unspun, single-ply wool sold by the reel, from which other Lopi yarns (Lettlopi, Alafosslopi) have been developed. Knitted in one strand, it is equivalent to Lettlopi, and in two strands, it is equivalent to Alafosslopi, so with one yarn you have access to the possibilities of the whole family.
The yarn is fragile to knit, but thanks to its long fibers, the finished knit is surprisingly durable, light and warm. Broken yarn is easy to reconnect by twisting the ends together, so after practice, working will flow naturally.
Material: 100% Icelandic wool
Ball: 100 g / approx. 300 m
Needles: 4–5.5 mm (depending on the number of strands)
Care instructions: ventilation primarily, no soaking
