Istex Einband

Istexin Einband is a thin lace-strength wool yarn, made of 100% Icelandic wool. The yarn is a bit flaxy at first glance. The yarn feels a little rough and hard at first, but after washing and using it, the knit softens. This yarn is ideal for knitting light and airy accessories and sweaters. Despite its lightness, the best features of wool come with it. The yarn is available in both natural and lustrous shades!

Care instructions: In most cases, the woolen cloth is well ventilated. If necessary, hand wash in lukewarm water (30 ° C). Soak the sweater for about 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Carefully squeeze most of the water from the garment, eg inside a towel. Gently shape the knit to size and dry on a level, do not hang.

Knitting density 30 sts / 10 cm: needle size 2 mm.
Knitting density 17 sts / 10 cm: needle size 4 mm.
Knitting density 15 sts / 10 cm: needle size 6 mm.

Manufacturer's tip: handicrafts made of yarn stretch, so the final size can only be determined after washing. To ensure the correct dimensions for the finished knit, first make a pattern patch, moisten it and dry it to size. Determine the density of this sample patch. Of course, the size of the needle also depends on how tight or airy the knitting surface wants to be.
