— Show original If you are looking for a wonderfully soft and comfortable wool yarn, you will love DROPS Merino Extra Fine. The yarn is very suitable for raised, cable and seed beads knitting. Due to its properties, the yarn is also popular in baby and children's knitting. The soft and captivating color range is wide, so everyone is sure to find their own favorite shades. DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn is available in both solid colors and multicolors, where the colors of the yarn are carded together before spinning, resulting in a variegated yarn.
DROPS Merino Extra Fine is spun from extra fine merino wool, which comes from free-roaming animals in South America. The yarn is spun using several thin strands, which gives it a slightly stretchy structure. Due to its stretchiness, it is recommended to knit the yarn a little tighter than normal. DROPS Merino Extra Fine is comfortable to knit and the knit is particularly smooth.
The yarn is Superwash treated, but it is a good idea to follow the following instructions when washing:
Wash in lukewarm water, do not soak. Squeeze out excess water, e.g. in a towel, and then gently lay the sweater flat to dry. Be careful not to stretch the wet sweater too much.
Material: 100% wool
Ball/flow rate: 50 g = approx. 105 m
Needles: 4 mm
Knitting density: 10 x 10 cm = 21 sts x 28 rows
Yarn group: B (20 - 22 stitches) / 8 ply / DK / worsted
Care instructions: delicate wash 40°C. Do not use fabric softener. Flat dry.
