Lightweight Icelandic wool yarn for versatile knits

Fjallalopi is a newer wool yarn in Istex's Lopi product family, slightly thinner than Lettlopi. It is made from 100% Icelandic wool and is well suited for lighter knitwear.

The yarn is tightly twisted, making it easy to knit and giving an even finish. The melange color options bring a lively and natural look to the knits without complicated patterns.

Fjallalopi is particularly suitable for Icelandic-style knits, where you want to combine lightness, warmth and breathability. The finished knits are comfortable to wear and retain the feel of a traditional wool knit.

Size: 50 g = approx. 150 m
Needles: 3–4 mm
Knitting density: 22 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Care instructions: hand wash 30 °C, soak for about 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly, dry flat, do not hang
