Filcolana Peruvian

Peruvian is a classic, four-ply yarn made from 100% pure new wool. The wool for Peruvian yarn comes from sheep in the Peruvian highlands that are a cross between the Corriedale and Merino breeds. These sheep graze in the Peruvian highlands, giving the wool its characteristic airiness and beautiful matte finish.
We also use the same wool in our Pernilla yarn.

Peruvian is spun using the worsted method, resulting in a round and highly even yarn. This ensures excellent stitch definition, making Peruvian ideal for cables, textured patterns, and colorwork.

Peruvian is suitable for all kinds of knitting and crochet projects for both children and adults, and it works very well for fulling and felting. The wide range of colors gives you free rein for your creativity. Try combining Peruvian with another Filcolana yarn; the combination of Peruvian and Tilia has already become a classic!

Sheep in the Peruvian highlands are not subjected to mulesing.
