Linen fabric – natural beauty and lasting comfort!

Light and beautifully flowing, linen fabric is an excellent choice for both clothing and home textiles. Linen is a pure natural fiber known for its breathability, durability and slightly shiny surface. Its surface is naturally rough, and the material feels pleasant against the skin. Linen is ideal for year-round use.

You can sew dresses, shirts, trousers and children's clothes from linen – both for everyday wear and for special occasions. The fabric is also perfect for home textiles, such as curtains, tablecloths and cushion covers.

As a strong natural fiber, linen is highly durable, and its best properties are emphasized with use and washing: the fabric softens and takes on an even more beautiful appearance over time.

The patterned linen fabrics are Lempankakka's own production and are printed responsibly in Europe.

Wash at 30 degrees, do not tumble dry

We recommend pre-washing all our fabrics. The material may shrink by about 5% in the first wash. Shrinkage often occurs more lengthwise than widthwise. So, at least fabrics for garments with long, continuous pieces, such as adult dresses and tunics, should be shrunk before sewing.

Linen fabrics are sold as pre-cut pieces.
