Recycled wool and Finnish sheep wool are intertwined in the lovely, vibrant Elsa recycled yarn!

A yarn made from a blend of wool fiber made from recycled textiles and new wool, where the recycled fiber appears in different colored spots, giving the knitted surface a tweed-like appearance. The recycled wool is mainly merino and the new wool is mainly from Finnish sheep.

A versatile wool yarn suitable for all kinds of crafts, such as sweaters, mittens, hats, scarves and shawls.

Recycled wool fiber is obtained from discarded textiles collected from Finnish households. They are converted back into fibers in Paimio by Lounais -Suomen Jätehuolto. At the spinning mill in Jämsä, new domestic wool is added to the mix, which binds the shorter recycled fiber tightly into the yarn, making the end result high-quality.

A wool garment made from Elsa can be recycled in the same way when it reaches the end of its life.

Needle recommendation: 2.5 - 3.5 mm

Knitting density: 24-28 sts = 10cm
