Show original An authentic Icelandic sweater book!
Sweater designs designed jointly by knitwear designer Sigríður Sif "Sigga" Gylfadóttir and Satu Rämö for Icelandic yarns, respecting the traditions of the fairy-tale island and with a twinkle in the eye.
Together with her Icelandic knitwear designer friend Sigga, Satu Rämö takes on the knitting taboo and offers 13 new ticklingly lovely knitwear designs straight from Iceland's Westfjords. The instructions for the shirts use Léttlop, Alafosslop, thin Einband woolen yarn and wicking yarn Plötulop. In addition to clear instructions, information is provided about the history of Iceland's "national dress", local yarns and the life of Icelandic sheep. Some of the models are suitable even for beginner knitters, and the editing tips for shirt models will delight more experienced knitters. The book also contains instructions for the sweater that appears in Satu Rämö's first detective novel Hildur!
