The book contains 20 embroidery patterns, which have been inspired by the birds that move around in different courtyards and parks. Some species are familiar regular guests of these environments, others are somewhat more occasional passers-by. So that you can take a closer look at the life of the birds behind the mitten models, each model is accompanied by a cartoon that shows each bird species in its everyday life. Depending on the model, there are sizes for both men, women and children, and in addition, almost every mitten model has instructions for the claw or palm version for adults. There is something to knit for embroiderers of different levels, and the instructions range in difficulty from easy to challenging, most of them being somewhere in between. Iris Tanttu is a wilderness and nature guide and a master of arts, whose enthusiasm for handicrafts and hobby of nature and birds started as a child. The spinning skill learned at a young age has led to a strong interest, especially in yarns and knitting. Over the years, the subject of birds has moved more and more into various sketchbooks, embroidery patches and other textile experiments. Based on the accumulated material, this bird-themed first-born knitting book was born.
