DROPS Cotton Merino is a combination of extra fine merino wool and long cotton fibers. Merino wool and cotton are not carded together. This makes all the properties of the fibers stand out better and the colors and texture become more vivid. The merino wool used in the yarn comes from animals that move freely in South America.
DROPS Cotton Merino is comfortable to knit and the knitting surface is clear and even. Be careful with the knitting density, it is better that you knit a little tighter than that you knit too loosely. The yarn is quite suitable for braid, embossed and pearl knitwear. The sweater is soft against the skin and for this reason is also well suited for sweaters for babies and children. Instructions designed for Cotton Merino (Hertta snooze blanket for baby and Vieno ankle socks) can be found on Paapo's Blog. You can find instructions by scrolling to the bottom of the page or going to the Blog.
The yarn is spun from several thin strands, making the yarn wonderfully soft, full-bodied and flexible. Because of this special structure, it is important to treat the knit properly. Do not wash the sweater in too hot water, also be careful not to soak. Dry the knit flat. The yarn is superwash-treated.
