Strong rods made of aluminum alloy. The sticks are polished and coated with Teflon. Ordinary aluminum sticks can stain the knit, but these Teflon-coated ones don’t.

It is often advisable to buy 2 sets of the same number and knit both socks at the same time. In this way, tracing needs to be more consistent regardless of whether the code is sequential or step-by-step.

I already have Pony stockings that are sold in a carton. They are the best sticks because they are also slippery. I looked at the product information on the sticks, and I think the Ponyje read about silicone coating. I thought these were slippery, and therefore as good as the old Ponys. But it wasn't. The work doesn’t go as comfortably when the needles don’t move “by themselves” and they don’t knit with their bones. Working with these newer Ponies requires assistance. You have to look for a decent winter candle to make the sticks the most slippery. Then they are perfect. However, even the new Ponies are better than the few others I bought this fall, which will remain unused.
